Take a Look at the Puppets Bringing Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation to Life

On October 1, 2021, fans of Winnie the Pooh will again get to see the silly old bear come to life. This time, however, it won’t be on the silver screen. Instead, Winnie the Pooh will be brought to life with puppets in Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation. This will be happening at Theatre Row in New York City.

To bring the story to life, puppets were constructed by Rockefeller Productions. This was done with a team of artists, designers, patternmakers, builders, welders, and fabricators. These characters were inspired by the original character designs from Disney, along with Christopher Robin’s real-life counterparts. Each of these puppets is larger than life and was built multiple times to make sure everything was exactly right. Take a look at Winnie the Pooh and his pals as they will be seen on stage in October.

Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation is developed and is presented by Jonathan Rockefeller. His puppetry can be seen in Paddington Gets in a Jam and The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show. This production is already so highly anticipated that a new weekend block of tickets has been opened for it. It will be taking place at Times Square’s Theatre Row, located at 410 West 42nd Street. Tickets can be found at WinnieThePoohShow.com.

Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation features many of the songs that are known and loved by Winnie the Pooh fans for decades. This show has a new orchestral score that pulls from all of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh music. This even includes the cartoon series from the 1980s.

Disney’s iconic Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin and their best friends Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, and Owl (oh… and don’t forget Tigger too!) in a beautifully crafted musical stage adaptation.

Featuring the Sherman Brother’s classic Grammy-award winning music with further songs by A.A. Milne, this beautiful fresh stage adaptation is told with stunning life-sized puppetry through the eyes of the characters we all know and love, in a new story from the Hundred Acre Wood.

This production is created by renowned family entertainment creator Jonathan Rockefeller, and made by Rockefeller Productions alongside Disney Theatrical Productions. Performances begin in New York City, October 21, 2021.
